After the Brussels attacks

Zone conference
Den Haag District

Den Haag Zone Conference

Den Haag Zone P-Day

This week has been super busy! We've found a couple great new investigators, a totally new one who we put on baptismal date in the first lesson, and another former investigator that seems to be more prepared to take some action now. We had an exchange on Friday, Elder Stevenson from my MTC group came over from Zoetermeer. We spent the whole day from one o'clock on in the busier parts of the city giving out little cards for Easter. It was fun, the next day we realized that at least one little miracle came of it. There was a baptism of an eleven year old who has been living with a couple members of the church for a long time. His Biological mother and her boyfriend came to his baptism. After the service, a brother led me over to the Boyfriend, and he turned out being the one person who we got to take a book of mormon the previous day we had spend in the city! I Didn't recognize him at first, it was pretty surprising! Quite the coincidence. We'll see if the story goes any further any time soon.

Easter Sunday was super busy! The night before we were in Haarlem at the church where the best two years was filmed for the choir rehearsal and then a stake priesthood meeting. We got a ride home, went to bed, woke up, and ran to church so I could play some prelude music. Sacrament meeting was fully of new faces, a heaping handful of non-members included. That ward is so big! So many people to deal with. It was good though. Afterwards we had lunch with a recent convert and his daughter and then ran to Haarlem for the concert which began at four. It was amazing! The chapel and cultural hall were packed with all sorts of people. It was super fun to perform, especially with my two solos. I sang the first solo of a Pharisee and then another one a bit later of Judas. Luckily they suited my low range well so I was able to really be powerful. We had a super great time last P-day playing soccer with fourteen missionaries from the area. We were super sore the next few days but it was worth the great time. This week shot by. Interviews with president are coming up next week and then temple conference will be a couple weeks after that on the 12th of March.

It is good to hear that the missionaries that were injured are doing well. A sister that flew home the day the bombs went off was interviewed in her home city. We found out about it in President's email, you ought to be able to find it online on KMBC.com, the local news site and the article was titled "Overland Park missionary left Belgium just before terror attacks". She served her last transfer in next door Zoetermeer, I got to know her a little bit, she's super nice.

I know that the spirit guides us when we desire guidance from God. We learn in the scriptures that the most valuble knowledge comes from the spirit of God, I am coming to understand that that is true. I am grateful for this chance to learn how the spirit leads and inspires us. The gift of the Holy Ghost is how we can receive everyday guidance from our all knowing, all loving, all powerful Heavenly Father, and I am so grateful for that.
